Drone pursues new resonant frequencies with it’s twelfth release, a tonal, penetrating, and experimental album from long time Fearless collaborators, Von Haze.
VII is a nod to the tradition of ragas. Each song written for a specific power centre in the body and to engage both active and passive effects of sustained and concentrated sound.
Recorded in LA, produced by Richard Fearless and mixed at Drone’s Metal Box, London.

Drone 011, with tracks Sweet Venus and Rex from Richard Fearless and the first in Drone’s vinyl only series has been gaining amazing support right across the board. Sweet Venus recorded in a single take sees Fearless step into soulful house roll but goes back to a familiar sonic palette for the Acid drenched ‘Rex’ Both tracks were mixed by Chris Blakey at Drone’s Metal Box. Nearly all shops have sold out now but Drone held onto a few copies which we will be selling on our soon to be launched ‘Bleep’ site.
“Rival has, since it’s inception, been about exploring the limitations of a single, one take session. Taking the principles of a live set and applying them with gear that would ordinarily be left in the studio adds an uncertainty and urgency to the moment that would otherwise not be there.” D’Marc Cantu
‘Sustain’, on the B side of Drone 010 and D’Marc Cantu’s second release on Drone, is a ferocious track with monotonous drum lines that slowly takes you into the night.
With early support from Helena Hauff, Ben UFO, Psyk to Antal, ‘Omega Red’ is D’Marc Cantu’s second release on Drone, an introspective and emotive piece of electro.
With it’s deep pads, ‘Omega Red’ provides the soundtrack to a trek through the snowy wastes, never letting up and calling through the night. Dreaming of a world beyond our own on a journey without end, waking to find fragments of that world still holding on.
Drone will be taking over Tresor Berlin on the 10th of December. Performing on the night will be Luke Hess, D’Marc Cantu-live, Steve Bicknell and Richard Fearless, savage.
United over a love of Throbbing Gristle and Chris & Cosey, Richard Fearless partners with artist and writer Sasha Grey on ‘Consequences of Love’, the second single from Death in Vegas’ critically lauded sixth studio album, Transmission. In the spirit of this collaboration, we are thrilled to announce the release of ‘Consequences of Love’ with a remix by iconic electronica pioneers Chris & Cosey. Available on vinyl and as a digital download August 26, 2016.
“After listening to the stems we could sense a kind of “October Love Song’ vibe in there so – so that’s kind of what we aimed for. We really enjoyed doing it, there was lots of dancing around the studio while we worked on it.” Chris Carter
